The Fire Safety Director, Assistants and Floor Wardens must be certified annually

Certifications

The Fire Safety Director and Assistants must complete the FEMA ICS 100C online program

Required FEMA Course for
Fire Safety Directors and Assistants
(only required for the City of Los Angeles)

IS-100.C: Introduction to Incident Command System, ICS-100

The Fire Safety Director, any Assistant Fire Safety Directors, Floor Wardens and Suite Monitors are now required to be trained and certified annually by a certified High-Rise Safety Consultant.

Prior to the Certifications for the Fire Safety Director and the Assistants, they must first complete and pass the FEMA ICS 100C course and test.  This FEMA course only needs to be accomplished once and is not required to be taken annually, but the Certification is.

The Fire Safety Director (FSD) / Floor Warden (FW) Certification
can be accomplished in one of two ways.

The quickest, most convenient & preferred method is the Online Training / Certification Packet.  The FSD & FW's are emailed a link to a secured YouTube channel which has the Fire Safety Director / Floor Warden Presentation & all required printed information from the Fire Department.  Also included in that email is the test that must be printed out along with the answer key.
  • Participants watch the presentation
  • Print and take the test (preferably together)
  • Grade their own test using the included answer key then
  • Notify Corrigan Enterprises of the completion date and names of those who participated and
  • Certificates are emailed & then hand delivered.
The second option is to schedule Corrigan Enterprises for an In-Office visit (after the FSD & Assistants have passed the FEMA Course above) to run the same presentation, issue the open-book test and go over the test together.  Certificates are emailed & hand delivered.
